How are Holiday premiums given to the employees?

There are two different options for organizations to give holiday premiums to their employees.

A. Automatic crediting of Holiday Premiums
Follow the setup below if your company automatically provides the holiday premiums, as long as the employees have clock-in and clock-out records.

1. The employee must be "Entitled to Holiday Pay".


2. When creating your schedule, the "Schedule on Holiday" toggle should be switched ON.
 
If a holiday falls on a day when the created shift is assigned, the employee no longer needs to file for overtime for the holiday premium to be credited.
B. Filing of Overtime before Holiday Premiums are credited
There are also companies that validate first if the employee will be paid with Holiday Premium.

1. The employee must be "Entitled to Holiday Pay".


2. When creating your schedule, the "Schedule on Holiday" toggle should be switched OFF.


Even if the employee has clock-in and clock-out records, the employee still has to file for an overtime request and have it approved first before the premium is credited. 
When filing for an overtime during holiday, the overtime start time should be the clock in record of the employee.
