Unassign Shift to Employees
First thing you need to know when un-assigning a shift is whether the assigned shift is a Default Schedule or a Custom Schedule. Only Custom Schedules, schedules that are created under the Schedules tab, can be unassigned as shift. Once the Custom Schedule is unassigned, the shift does not turn into an empty container. The selected day where the shift was unassigned to will revert to Default Schedule. Meaning, Default Schedule gets auto-assigned whenever there is no assigned shift to the employee on a specific day.
To un-assign a shift:
1. From the Top Navigation go to Time and Attendance > Shifts.
2. From the Employee List, locate the employee you would like to un-assign a shift to.
4. Click on Un-assign.
| This action un-assigns the shift for the selected date only |
| This action un-assigns the shift on the selected date and succeeding dates with the same schedule. |
| This action un-assigns the shift on the selected date, preceding, and succeeding dates with the same schedule. |
5. Choose and click one action from the options.
- The shift is successfully unassigned.
