Salarium I/O BM-02 Setup Guide

Introduction

Congratulations on your new Salarium I/O BM-02 biometrics device! You are one step closer to automating your employees’ time and attendance. 

Setup Instructions -For the initial setup, please ensure that you have a stable internet connection and that you have Account Owner credentials to access Salarium through the biometrics device.

Account Owner Log in 

      . Power up the device by plugging the power cable in the power input then pressing the power button.
            
            

2. Open the Salarium I/O BM-02 Application.

3. Once the app is launched, use the Account Owner credentials to log in.

            

4. Once logged in, select the companies that will be logging in through this device. Contact your supervisor or your HR manager if you do not know which companies to select or if you do not have the Account Owner credentials. 
            

5. Once you have elected which companies are to be included in the device, you will be asked to create a device pin. Do not disclose the device pin to anyone who should not have administrator access to the device. Administrators can add or edit employee fingerprints or even reset the device.
      
           

Registering Employees 

Registering employees must be done once per device type. For example, if an employee is registered on a Salarium I/O BM-02 device, other Salarium I/O BM-02 devices in the same account will recognize that employee. A Salarium I/O BM-03 device however would need a separate registration. 

1. Select a method for employee search. This can be done by employee ID or employee name or both.


            
      2. Navigate to Enrollment Tab and select an employee to register on the device. 
      
             

      3. Once the employee has been selected, tap the ‘Set’ button to start registering fingerprints. Up to 3 fingerprints can be registered per employee.
            
        4. Select Add Fingerprint. The application will give instructions on when to press the employee’s finger on the device and when to lift. Follow these instructions carefully. 
                  
            Visual each fingerprint should be shown as confirmation that the fingerprint is being read.

Test your Device! 

1. Navigate to the home screen and place your finger on the scanner. 

Salarium does not save fingerprint images in the database but only authentication tokens derived from the fingerprint.
