Maximum Clock-Out Rules

Maximum Clock-Out Rules

Administrators can set the maximum number of hours that an employee can render for a day starting from their clock-in records. Regardless of the shift assigned to them, the number of hours is based on the employees' paired clock-ins and clock-outs.

The purpose of setting up the maximum clock-out rules is to keep employees using the Web Bundy to clock out at the end of the shift. This also benefits the administrators when validating the hours worked by an employee from their time logs.

1. From the Company Settings click on the Side Navigation Panel > Time and Attendance > Maximum Clock-Out.

2. Click on Add Rule.

3. Set up your Maximum Clock-Out Rules.

a. Set a Rule Name
b. Set the maximum number of hours an employee can render. (Break hours are counted
c. Choose the affected groups. It can be per location, department, position, and employee.

4. Click on Submit.

Example:
Shift: 08:00-17:00 (9 hours including break)
Maximum Clock-out Rule: 9 Hours including break
Clock-In: 07:30
Clock-Out: 17:00
Result:
The clock-out will be invalidated by the system given that it is beyond the 9-hour rule. The rule starts from the clock-in of the employee and not from the Shift Start Time. The break time set in the shift is also considered in the max clock-out rule. (07:30 - 14:30, 9 hours)
Action:
Option 1. The Maximum Clock-Out Rule can be adjusted to a longer schedule.
Option 2. The employee has to file for a time correction. He has to adjust his clock-in by matching it with the Shift Start Time and End Time.
You can set up multiple rules depending on the company policies and group of employees.
What happens when an employee clocks out beyond the set maximum clock-out rule?
The clock-out record of the employee will be invalidated by the system when it reaches beyond the rule.
