How can I change my Employee's Basic Salary?

To change your employee’s basic salary, you will need to do a Basic Pay Adjustment. Basic Pay Adjustments occur when an employee’s salary increases or decreases, due to promotion, for example. There are two ways you can do this: through the employee’s 201 file, or through the Employees tab.

To create a Basic Pay Adjustment through the employee’s 201 file, go to Employees > Choose the Employee> Basic Pay>Add Basic Pay Adjustment.

The Add Basic Pay Adjustment box will pop up. Fill in the necessary details:

  • Current Basic Pay – the employee’s current salary (cannot be edited).
  • New Basic Pay – the employee’s adjusted salary
  • Effective Date – the date when the Basic Pay Adjustment will take effect
  • Adjustment Date (optional) – when the Basic Pay Adjustment was made
  • Adjustment Reason (optional) – explains why the employee received the Basic Pay Adjustment

In the example above, the employee's basic pay will be adjusted to P25,000.00, payable by Month, due to appraisal, effective on May 4, 2017, prepared on May 4, 2017.

You can also add a Basic Pay Adjustment through the Employees tab. Go to Employees>Basic Pay>Add Basic Pay Adjustment.

The Add Basic Pay Adjustment box will pop up. Fill in the necessary details as above and click Add.
