To automate the approval process, workflows are assigned to determine who can approve or decline a request via ESS. An approver can view and receive notifications on pending requests through Email, ESS and Admin Dashboard. Take note that workflows available on this page are set under Workflow Automation settings in the Company Settings page.
Approval Workflows can be assigned to the following requests:
Leaves
Shift Changes
Time Disputes
Overtime
Undertime
If there is no assigned workflow for a particular request type, the request will not be allowed to be submitted.
Assign Workflows (Manual Entry)
To Assign Workflows to Employees via Manual Entry:
1. From the Top Navigation Bar, head to Employees > Workflows.
2. Click on the Assign Workflow button.
3. Enter the Employee name or Department. Assign a workflow by choosing from the dropdown list and choose the request type.
4. Click on Add.
5.. Repeat the process to add more Workflow-Request Type sets.
6. Click on Submit. The assigned workflow record(s) is saved and is displayed in the Assigned Workflow list.
To Assign Workflows to Employees via Batch Assign Workflows
To Batch Assign Workflows:
1. From the Top Navigation Bar, head to Employees > Workflows
2. Click on the Batch Assign Workflows button.
3. Click Download Template.
4. Open the file and accomplish the template. You may click on the upload guide link found above the Download Template button.
5. After accomplishing the template with the assigned workflow details, under Step 2, click on the Choose File button.
6. Attach the updated template and click Upload to proceed to data validation.
7. Once validated, a summary of the workflow entitlements is displayed. Click on Submit.
