Add Locations (with or without IP Address restriction)

Add Locations (with or without IP Address restriction)

Locations define the specific work area of employees. Multiple locations can be created and should be tagged to the employees accordingly.

Add a Location

1. From the Admin Dashboard's Top Navigation, click on the Company Settings Icon.

2. Open the Side Navigation Panel by clicking on the arrow below the company dropdown. Then, choose Company Structure>Locations.

3. Click on the Add Location button.

4. Supply all the required fields.
The following fields have dropdown options that you can choose from:
            a. Time Zone

            b. Country

            c. Region (options are based on the selected country)

            d. City (options are based on the selected region)

The rest of the fields are in free-form type. You just need to fill in the fields to complete the location details.

5. You may set the location as a Headquarters by choosing the YES option.

The address of the location set as a Headquarters will be reflected on the government forms generated through Salarium.

Only one location can be set as headquarters.

6. Down below, you can nominate IP Addresses as needed.

7. Upon completing the details, click on the submit button.

Companies with multiple branches need to specify the locations and properly tag them to the employees. It is important to assign the correct locations, especially if you are following local or area-specific holidays. This is also helpful in sending announcements to targeted locations. In addition, you can filter out employees based on the locations tagged to them.

Add IP Address/es:
1. After completing the location details, scroll down below and enter a valid IP address.

2. After entering the IP address, click on the Add IP Address button.

3. You can always Edit or Delete the added IP Addresses.

4. Add IP addresses as needed before clicking on submit.

The IP Address to be added is STATIC IP ADDRESS. It is an IP address that does not change.
What happens if a location does not have a nominated IP address?
Employees can access the ESS and can clock in/out, using the Web Bundy, anywhere as long as they have access to the internet.

What happens when a location has a nominated IP Address?
Employees will still be able to access their ESS if they have access to the internet. However, if they are connected to a network in which the IP address is not nominated in the location, the time logs using Web Bundy will not be captured.

The Time and Attendance module will only capture the time logs of employees if the device they are using is connected to the network with IP Address specified on the list.
